                          HISTORY

The RSVP 1031 Scotch-Yoke Actuator has been manufactured since 1968. Originally named Matryx and manufactured in Houston, Texas, it was moved in 1974 by XOMOX Corporation to Cincinnati, Ohio.

The actuator line was used by valve manufacturers on major industrial projects, oil and gas applications and nuclear power plants.  In 1982 the Accutorque Division of Greer Hydraulics acquired the product line and all technical aspects. In 1985 Amot Controls purchased the Accutorque Heavy Duty Piston Actuator line from Greer Hydraulics.

Fisher Controls International, a division of Emerson Process Management, purchased the Heavy Duty Piston Actuator line from Amot Controls in 1989.  The actuator line was named Type 1031 Rotary Piston Actuator. The actuator was manufactured in North Stonington, Connecticut and distributed world-wide by Fisher Controls (Emerson Process Management).

The Stockton family of Houston, Texas, Purchased the product line, Type 1031 actuators from Fisher Controls ( Emerson Process Management ) in September 2001. They formed RSVP Actuator and Controls, Inc. to manufacture the RSVP Type 1031 Heavy Duty Actuator. The actuators are sold through our world-wide independent distributor network.

In March of 2006, the Stockton family sold Ralph Stockton Valve Products, Inc., so that they could devote all of their resources to the manufacturing of the RSVP actuators.  Our new 10 acre facility is located in Hempstead, Texas.  With more than 50+ years experience in valve distribution we know valve automation and what a distributor needs.  RSVP Actuators and Controls, Inc., specializes in factory support and fast deliveries.  We provide quotations on all items within 24 hours.
